what sort of minor disasters have other abers had to deal with?
the thermostat on my cooker (neff and new 8 years ago) has now gone for the third time. first time was after 4 years use saturday aftrernoon before christmas bank holiday family due at any moment - only mince pies and cake made. managed to get through that by cooking meat elsewhere; a one off bake;
second - just before the family were coming to stay for a couple of weeks (11 extra people);
yesterday late afternoon when i am trying to get everything ready for friends coming round for a meal.
anyone else had anything like this?
i don't know whether to cry or rant down the phone tomorrow.

On the Saturday night, eldest junior Overall came back from he pub with the rest of his rugby team and they ate the lot in sarnies.
I must admit I had a good blubber.
