Removing hair dye fron fabric

Does anybody know how to remove permanent hair dye from from a fabric chair?

Not sure about a chair but my hairdresser sprayed hairspray on some hairdye on her white tshirt and sponged it off. You could try that, but I think Vanish might work better. Good luck.

Thanks both, I will try the hairspray tomorrow and let you know if it works. My daughter will have to stay in the bathroom when dying her hair in future,
