Remember my motto;

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving

safely in an attractive and well preserved body.

But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand,

Glass of wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming

'WOO HOO what a ride!'

Have a wonderful day!

Lovely quotation, Jem. It was Hunter S. Thompson who originated it. He lived life to the full, taking all sorts of drugs and drinks. Unfortunately he committed suicide in 2005 at the age of 67. Wonder what went wrong with his theory?
Stop complaining, just do something.
one of my fave quotes is a line from a Brighteyes song: "it's the ones with the sore throats that have done the most singing!"
I'll go with that Jemisa
McM. All right. I will. I can't help it if I am a grumpy old fart (or tart if you don't like that word.)

Remind you of what Jem. I thought it was common knowledge.
I like that Jem, If you are that unhappy, take action and do something about it
Great motto there Jem ;-)

Starbuck as for Hunter S. as far as I am aware he had pretty much done and seen everything that he wanted to do and so while suffering from some serious health conditions he decided to check out. A quote from a letter to his wife, which by many is regarded as his suicide note said;

"No More Games. No More Bombs. No More Walking. No More Fun. No More Swimming. 67. That is 17 years past 50. 17 more than I needed or wanted. Boring. I am always bitchy. No Fun — for anybody. 67. You are getting Greedy. Act your old age. Relax — This won't hurt."
Well, he had a lovely life by the sound of it. and did what he wanted. Obviously when there was no more he could do, there was no point in going on. Strange he should be married. I thought he would have done the same sort of thing in his sex life as he did with everything else - lived it to excess.
I couldn't agree more jem.
Consider very carefully visiting a country where the license plate motto is "Die ***".
Smile at someone, they will wonder what you have been doing!
Mine would be 'Go out with a smile on your face' and leave them all to wonder afterwards just what it was that you were smiling about!
a malt Highland Park for me and my friend here. And if you tell that barman to go extra easy on the water, this 50p coin has your name on it.
Be frugal with yourself and generous to others.
Not with Highland Park though lol
After one look at this planet any visitor from outer space would say - ' I want to see the Manager.'
I'd rather go with a Lagavulin min 16 year old actually.......
Great tipple but had a tot of Whyte and MacKay prior to lunch and it just did the job
