Trying for a baby after coming off birth control.

I posted on here a couple of weeks ago about becoming pregnant on the pill. I did do a pregnancy test but it was negative. I have decided that i was not going to go back on the pill. Me and my partner have been trying and my period is due next week. The only thing that is concerning me at the moment is the discharge that i am getting after ovulation. Sorry if this is to much information. It is like white lotion, thick and smooth - no itching or burning at all! My nipples are also sore which i havent experienced before because the pill eliminated all things like that, i was lucky. I never experienced this before the pill. Was just wondering if any one had any ideas what this could be?

it sounds like cervical mucus. perfectly normal and a sign that its right time of month for trying to conceive

I'm a 50 year old woman & I have always had a discharge at the time of ovulation & it is perfectly normal as long as there is no odour or itching. As for the sore boobs, are you sure you haven't had a wrong reading on your pregnancy test and you may infact be pregnant ?

yeh but im past my ovulation. 7 days past. I have 6 days untill im due for my period.

sore boobs is an either way symptom, could be pregnancy or period.

I only had sore nipples acouple of days after ovulation! i didnt get pregnant last month because i had my period and got a negative test result.

lucy, as i said, the discharge is a sign of fertile time in cycle. The sore nipples may just be part of your hormonal cycle OR a sign of pregnancy. Yes you had negative result last month but wont know until next week if you have been lucky in this cycle.

I had this same discharge before ovulation which i have been told as normal and then i had egg white cervical mucous, which i have also been told is your fertile time and u are either ovulating or u will in the next couple of days. I had unprotected sex all the days i should have done to try and concieve. Ever since ovulation i have ALOT of lotion cm, more than i have ever seen before. I also read that an increase in cervical mucous that is lotion like after ovulation could be a sign of pregnancy.

well yes, a discharge in early stages of pregnancy is also common. I had it with both of mine and spent the first few weeks knicker checking. the cervix does create a plug when pregnant of mucus so it could be that.

Thank u! I just hope all this discharge is a pregnancy sign and i get my postive result at the weekend. Did u have any other early symtoms of pregnancy? did u have the discharge before a positive result?

i wasnt trying for my children so i couldnt tell you what it was like before i got the positives. The only other symptom i had with first before i took the test was just a feeling of not being quite right, being in car made me feel very slightly travel sick but thats all.

Oh really! See the only thing i have is the discharge and the sore nipples. Ive been having a little cramping in my lower tummy this afternoon aswell. Get quite bad heartburn at night and i dont really know why! I guess i will just have to wait untill the weekend to find out. Thank u for your comments tho :)

keep on wanting to have a wee, going off tea and coffee. hey just relax lucy it may have already happened! just enjoy the tying for a baby without putting pressure on yourselves, it will happen

I hope so! got 6 days left to see if period comes. hopefully it does not! somedays i keep thinking, yeh i think i am but then other days i dont feel that way and i dont feel pregnant. but i have never been pregnant before so really i wouldnt even know. im praying that i am :)

just take it as it comes lucy it is still very early days and the more anxious you are about it the less likely it will happen. chill honey, seriously stressing wont help. it doesnt happen over night for everybody we all are different, it is too much on your mind at the moment you have to just let it happen and be patient.

keep us posted Lucy4, you will be fine,may not happen this month or next but you will get there, took me nine months to fall for my second. believe me these precious little ones are well worth the wait just enjoy each other.

I had really vivid "technocolour" dreams in the very early stages of pregnancy, in fact that's how i knew I was pregnant the 2nd time even before doing a test.
