We have a copy of Where's Wally; The Fantastic Journey and for years I have been searching for Wally in the final picture 'The Land of Wallies'; I finally decided to look it up on the internet and have discovered that Wally is missing from my copy of the book. Where he is meant to be he just isn't! I checked in a Where's Wally book in WHSmith (think it was a 'Best of' kind) and he was in the picture and I found him really easily from remembering the instructions I'd read so it's not me being blind. Can anyone find out if this is a one off mistake or there were lots with what I assume was a prinitng error? TIA

I have looked on the net and in my book and it seems there are different versions of this print because on the net iv seen a photo of the binoculars in a place where in my book they aint. And i'v seen a picture of the real wally on the net and then on directions to find him he is in that place, but in my book he isn't It's realy strange. It's not you!! There are a few versions of this print it seems. I have found him in my book before but that was at least 20 years ago. I just dug it back out and aint got a clue where he is on my one but I know he is. Im sure he is on your book too! just not where they are saying on the net. You need to find him he has no shoe on,he has a strippy sock that matches his top! I'l let you know where he is when I find him again!
Im back! Iv found wally! on the 1989 copy He is not in the same place as the 1993 copy as they moved him iv found out! On the 1989 copy if you look at the big giant on the right side of the page there is a guy on top of another's shoulders, below him theres a bit of a gap then you will see Wally stood looking strait at you and his red and white sock between two other guys arms. Hope that helps you!

Ah there he is! Thought I'd got a rare edition :o( Thanks for the help!
I think the artist has spent time redrawing a lot of the puzzles, especially in the earlier books (which didn't have nearly as much detail as the later ones). I suppose this is why it takes him so long to do whole new books.I find myself wondering if he's a bit obsessive, to be honest.
