I have an appoitment tomorrow to decide whether or not I can have an elective C Section, due to problems with my first borns birth.
The problems were/are: -
- Lack of control when using ladies at times
- Tilted womb, although unsure if this is birthrelated
- Unable to have sex for a year, due to painful scar as had lots of stitches
- Retained placentra, therefore lots of bleeding for 10 weeks, fainting and feeling generally shocking. Was cleared up with antibiotics
- Forceps delivery and babys heart rate dropped. Delivered blue, but ok after being brought back.
- Ultimate fear of doing it all again.
Thanks

more often you will be encouraged to have a natural birth, unless there were specific medical conditions the first time round during pregnancy or birth that would have demanded the procedure.
my wife had a last minute c-sec the 1st time due to complications during labour, the 2nd time she was given the option to try naturally but with a given limit on the labour time. as it happens after quite a few hours of labour she needed the c-sec again as the second labour experience evolved into a direct repeat of the 1st.
she was however given the option because of the history, and could have booked a date for the c-sec.

Lack of urination control....probably not an indication for C-Section.
Tilted womb.........ditto
Painful sex due to scarring.....a possible indication for CS.
Retained placenta previously.......a possible indication for CS
Difficult vaginal delivery aided with forceps.......best indication for CS yet.
Fear of going through it all again....very good indication for CS especially when considering the above factors.
Good luck.
