abdominal....lol, suffering lately from nocturnal colic, comes on quite sudden, not every night, sometimes with nausea,. but last night was especially bad, had constant pain that eventually subsided with a dull ache it woke me from sleep, I had no nausea last night but bouts of diaorrhea...the 'ache' was underneath my ribcage/solar plexus area and if i lay on my side it eased it, laying on my back made it worse. Could this be the start of gallbladder problems ?

"Lately?"...one day...one week....one month?
Colicky pain....you mean it is severe pain that comes in waves?

Sorry Sqadlet...
Lately means I am suffering more than have done in the past (like 1 or twice a month)
Not sure if severe is the word I would use, yes, comes in waves, but pain enough to make me wince and feel like I have been kicked by a horse in my tum (just above my stomach area) or when laying down makes me want to draw my knees up to my chest for some relief
Weeing normally thank you :)
Once a month eh?..........midway between your periods perchance?
Question Author
No its not a period related thing, it only happens at night !
Stomach is no where near my lady garden bits Sqad ????
PP......I must check my anatomy diagrams in Cosmopolitan.

You suggest gall stones.....well i cannot think of a better diagnosis.

Se your GP.
My friend`s sister had something like that. The pain woke her up every night around 4am. She ended up having her gall bladder removed. It still happened though and it turned out to be a type of IBS that was really far up her intestines. It took them ages to find it. It must have been aggrivated by stress because they treated the stress and she`s OK now.
