Fat burning excercises
4 Answers
I need to lose a fair amount of weight....ive put on 7 stone since giving up smoking 7 years ago and need to shift it. I also have underlying health problems due the weight gain....high blood pressure, metabolic syndrome, protein in urine etc all cause by the weight. BP is now under control at around 145/80 so pleased with that.
Now, im seeing the dietican and ive given up the beer (can't drink whilst on metformin anyway) but now i need to think about upping the excersie to start burning the fat. Im a gardener so i have a pretty physical job but feel i just need to "up the ante" a bit by going to the gym.
What would you recommend me to do to start burning the flab whilst in the gym ?
many thanks

That's the problem with contracts with Gyms! Had the same trouble myself. However they should have a record of your induction on file so you could ask about it. As far as exercise goes, if they have a pool swimming is good. Also if you start on a treadmill, slowly at first then building speed and use the cross trainer if you can (I hate them!). Frequent repetitions...

I joined a gym 2 1/2 years ago where you pay £16 a month and are tied in to this for 3 years. Ive never been !!! I did the induction but cant really remember much about it or what they said.
I was just wondering if there's any specific weights or excercise that was particularly good for fat burning ?

Frequent repetitions with light weights on the resistance machines is good for toning and bikes should help with aerobic exercise. You should notice a difference in overall fitness then gradually you will lose weight
hi to lose body fat you need to cut calories down and dont eat processed foods... that is what my trainer has told me to do..... i do his kettlebell training and its brilliant he says that this is the best exercise to change you body shape and lose weight.... i bought mine at argos and you can buy a dvd for kettlebells too or look on the internet... the good thing about this is you can work at your own pace and you can feel your body and heart working... honestly try it.. ive only been doing it for a few weeks but already can see in my legs a better shape
