Random nausea and a missed pill

Over the past 2 weeks I've had nausea every day at random times, usually late afternoon. My first thought was that it could be pregnancy as I missed a few pills over the past month but I came off the pill this Friday and have seemingly got a period. I did a pregnancy test last night as I read you can still have periods during the first part of pregnancy but got a negative. I have no idea what the nausea is though? Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Nausea with no other symptoms is not diagnostic of any particular disorder.
It could be a side effect of the contraceptive pill that you are taking.
