i just broke up with my boyfriend because our relationship was miserable, we argued and he called me names so it ended, he begged me to forgive him and it really hurt, but now i feel unhappy that i have done it and he is already clearing out my things, my friend who is a boy likes me alot and treats me so nicely, hes respectful and sweet and more caring than my boyfriend ever was, i just dont know what to do right now. i know i sound awful but with my grandad just dying,i dont know what im even doing half of the time.

Hi.
You have answered your own question - this lad doesn't make you happy. What else do you want but to be happy? all you strive for in this relationship should ultimately be for your happiness. When you stop the chatter in your mind - stop, slow down... think. Take time to see what it is that you don't want anymore. Then ask you move forward, you can recognise what it is that you DO want, as apposed to what made you unhappy before. Take time for yourself, do not dwell on what has been done and do what makes you truly happy :) Give yourself time.

Try and see the good sides of it rather than getting down about all the bad things or upsetting things. If you was both misrable together than even though it's upsetting that what you did have has ended what would you feel like if it stayed the same? You only live once and Now you have made that break that is a big step out the way many people struggle to even do and end up being misrable for a life time. You can now have time for yourself and start to move on and start the next part of your life.
well the fact he is "already clearing out your things" speaks volumes, spend some time alone at least a couple of weeks, call it your "thinking time" then move on..... if your friend then comes forward and asks you out it wont be on the immediate rebound.
quoting my wise old gran "stand at the bus stop there will be another one along in a minute" she used to say when a romance broke up.

Note: I'm only 10 years old, but I'm very mature for my age, if I do say so myself.
I agree with scotman. Going from one to another quickly will make you seem desperate. Try to wait a few weeks, then ask your friend if he'd like to go see a movie with you sometime. Also, very sorry about your Grandad!
