yes they can re-occur, there is a site called patient.co.uk with a lot of info about this, take a look am sure it will answer your questions. Good luck.

Depends how they are "attacked"

If the veins are stripped, then they will not return.
If they are "tied off" at multiple points, they MAY not return.
If they are injected, they MAY return.

No guarantees in the "surgery game "

if you are unlucky new ones form even when you have them stripped
correct me if I am wrong but apparently they dont do them on the NHS anymore.
