Redness Round The Nose

For the past 6 months i have had red blotches on either side of my nose nowhere else and have tried countless moisturisers, e45, and god knows what else, any suggestions?

I would say more than likely this is caused by diet. If you watch "You are what you eat" you often see the "before" picture has red areas round the nose. After the detox, the skin is glowing and nice! Certainly worth a try.

If you use steroid cream, only use it for a very short time otherwise the skin will thin causing a host of other problems. Is the red area dry at all? If it's Rosacea you will be told not to eat or drink anything that is in anyway tasty (spicy foods, alcohol, etc etc). I suffer from the same problem to which there unfortunately isn't an actual cure, however I use Emulsifying Ointment (I can't use any type of cream especially E45) and try to keep a reasonably sensible diet. I allow myself maybe one chinese / indian per fortnight, but I won't foresake my Fridays down the local.
