I was kicked very hard in the thigh above my knee on Sunday - my leg is now painful, swollen and sore. Walking is painful and difficult.

What is the best way to treat this? Is it just the usual paracetamol & time?

Oh! dear........there is probably some bleeding (bruising) in the muscle (quadriceps) and this will take it's time to settle....probably at least 2 weeks at least.

Cold compresses (packet of peas from the fridge) and Ibuprofen 400mgms (at least) every six hours. Prepare to be in pain for at least a week.
