I think I might be coming down with Laringitous, When I cough my throat feels raw??
What would be the best thing to take so i'll be able to cough pain free???
prev how long should i wait before sending him another message?

If you have laryngitis you will lose your voice - different condition. For a cough and sore throat, we go to Boots and buy Sandersons Throat Specific liquid - you can only get it in Boots, it tastes like battery acid, but it does the trick. However if your cough is bringing up staff, you might need an expectorant. If I were you I'd pop along to the chemist today and ask for their advice.

Sounds viral from your description and the cough is purely secondary to the viral inflammation in your throat.

Forget the cough medicines....drink plenty and take Ibuprofen 400mgms every 6 hours and monitor the situation for 48 hours.

Must be 10 I dont know...I dont plan on walking down again though!! Ill wait til Tom wakes up :)))....No I dont drink why would i have whiskey?Its rotton anyway! and i dont think it will take away the pain when i cough!

Hi Claireeno, I've got a sore throat too although I don't think mine is half as bad as yours sounds. I've heard that Manuka honey is good and has antiseptic properties. Bit pricey though.
