Isn't it annoying when watching a subtitled film and the subtitles just blend into the background, why cant they just put a black ground onto the subT's?
Hi Quassia, I'm not a lover of them myself, but sometimes the TV guide doesn't tell you it's subtitled, if they did I wouldn't bother watching.... some of them are good and i get drawn in, so I keep watching and try to read it.
are you not watching on digital then, cos I tend to watch foreign stuff, and I am sure they are backrounds - sort of like little dymo labels across the screen
I've had a tiring day so wasn't thinking. I was thinking of the subtitles you bring up (like hard of hearing). I think those you refer to depend on when they were made, though I'm sure the trend is on newer stuff to do as I described rather than just writing over the screen
