Jobs working from home
Hi
I am just about to have another baby in January and really prefer to become a full time Mum from home. Ive worked all my life so to help support my family I still want to provide for them too - does anyone know of any good websites or companies that do "WORK FROM HOME". I dont really want to be delivering the Kleeneze catalogues to everyone or having jewellry parties ... something on the lines on DATA INPUTTING or calling customers (not telesales).
If anyone is currently doing such a role then any help would be grately appreciated.
Thanks

I did a bit when I was off with my children and you also preview film trailers too. It's ok, but sometimes your age/sex/marital status will have a bearing on whether your are eligible for a lots of the good surveys (they seem to prefer young single people)
i don't really see how you can be a "full time" mum AND work from home. Jobs working at home require you to often work harder than if you were at an actual job, because the pay depends on "how many" or "how much" you can do. Forexample i used to have a job that was making up inserts for cardboard boxes. Each one took 2 minutes to do and was paid pennies, so i had to do a lot of them and work very hard for a decent amount of money. my mum (in the 80's) used to do this job where she would get loads of clothes delivered and she had to cut off all the little ends that stuck out- again quite time consuming and took up loads of space and both were quite messy.
if you have a calling customer job, they will expect you to be available at certain times - what are you going to do if you are callinin a customer and one of your children was calling you in the background, or crying? or knocked over the ironong board?
Unless you will be able to work at home, in a totally seperate room, with hubby looking after the kids, i think it's unlikely you'll find what you want

I mean a full time Mum as in, being there when my kids need me instead of stuck in work. I only really want to be at home for them til the baby is going to full school so no more than 4 years - my husband is happy to support us but I just want to do something to contribute financially ... thats just me.
you really need to do a lot of thinking, tgm, about what times you will work. when i had my first i moved my office to home and have worked from here ever since. Its not easy, customers on phone (luckily i have a good relationship with all of them) do get subjected to the noise of the children. If a child is ill i have a lot of juggling to do. Calling people who dont know you will be difficult if you have a noisy child, and answering calls when baby is wanting a feed or being fed is hard.
can you work eves or weekends when your partner can help or when kids are asleep?

Take if from one who has been there,
Even if you get a franchise working from home, if you want it to 'not be a drain on your finances' you will be working all hours God sends. And, if you go with one of the outfilts offering you vast rewards for very time expended, you are headed for extreme disappointment and almost certain financial loss.
I hope you find something that will suit you. But remember this, "If it was so easy, why are there so many people trying to talk you into taking their business away?'
Old Salt, who has seen and heard nearly all of the 'get rich quck plans,' and has participated wholeheartedly in many - at great cost.

Thanks everyone. I dont really need to work if we are both in agreement that me leaving will make us financially better off but leaving my husband to bring home the cash is just a paranoia or mine - I just wanted to do something to help rather than just saying the Child Benefit we get would be the only thing that was extra and contributing to the household.
I will just have to blitz these ONLINE SURVEYS for a few extra pence!
Cheers peeps xx
