MrsNut had a procedure on Wenesday morning where a radiologist , using a 'live' x-ray machine, was able to enter her bile duct, firstly with a small brush and then with a balloon and indications are that the restriction/blockage has been relieved. and the duct is clear into the intestine

They did not insert a stent as the general felling was this might encourage a re-formation of the restriction.

The drain was clamped off at about 9am today and when I last spoke to her she was basically without real pain and only had a feeling of nausea which is being drug controlled.

Last time the drain was clamped she had severe cramping within twelve hours.

If things continue she will be home after a few more days observation.
