I have fancied someone senseless who I didn't find attractive. I ended up feeling confused as hell when they wouldn't go out with me (you're ugly - you must like me)

I think you can fall in love with someone you fancy, they don't necesarily have to be attractive.  I don't think you can fall in love with someone you don't fancy.  You can 'love' them, but not be 'in love' with them.

I think you can fall in love with someone you initially don't find attractive, but then you will find them attractive!

I agree that you can love someone who you don't find attractive, but I personally don't think you could fall in love with someone you don't fancy.

Maybe if you hated someone bad enough it could happen.  I think there needs to be some kind of spark there already.  I found in my experience that "Learning to love someone" is sometimes a waste of time, sorry.

I was in awe of this lad I used to know. He wasn't at all attractive, but he had the sexiest smell ever, and he was so funny, I couldn't help but fall for him.

Unfortunately, we were just good friends and nothing really came of it. I see him around, but don't speak to him no-more, due to moving on and growing up!

People who you don't initially find attractive can become incredibly attractive to you if a chemistry develops as you get to know them. Your perception of their physical attractiveness changes as you start to fall for them and that person becomes the most desirable person to you ever, notwithstanding the fact they may be Shane McGowan's twin. So, personally, I don't think you can fall in love in the romantic sense without physical attraction.

Yes, I was in love with someone who was just such an awesome person- but had absolutely nothing that attracted me physically to him. I couldn't work it out! But I have never been big on looks anyway.
