Shopping with Pay pal
10 Answers
I have just started shopping on the net, I have signed up with pay-pal, I gave them my debit card details and purchased my goods. What I need to know is do PP hang onto my debit card details? and would some dishonest employer at PP be able to use my details to go on a shopping spree?

I have a PayPal account in connection with eBay sales and purchases, and if there isn't enough money in my PayPal account, they take the money out of the card account.
There are thousands (if not millions) of people registered with PayPal - yes it's possible, but IMO it's highly unlikely, it's more than their reputation is worth. It's all electronic anyway, nobody physically gets your card details and looks at them each time you make a transaction.
At least with PayPal, the people you're buying from don't get to see your card details - which they would, if you paid them direct rather than using PayPal.
