Now, I have an advert on the left, under the "Topics" column ... for Sweaty Betty!

If the ad server was doing its job properly, your reference to 'Sweaty Betty' should have produced one link to the store and several more to sites which were trying to help you with your (perceived) personal hygiene problem ;-)

I get all sorts of house related adverts because I am trying to move (not successful yet, things keep falling through - people change their minds so often). I answered one just now about money for online surveys but discarded it because they kept saying my email address was not valid. I know it is a peculiar email address, consisting of numbers and letters, but it works perfectly well for me. So I got fed up with it and didn't bother. I wonder if other people get the same reaction. That's one for their survey isn't it - their website doesn't work properly.

Things like that make the hairs on my neck stand up, like when you get a spam email from someone with a name similar to someone you have recently been talking about.
