It was exactly 5000, about 3000 of which were posted by me and one or two others in the early hours of Monday morning on 6th September 2004, just before the editor got back from the weekend to delete them all. There was a competition on a radio station which had a prize of several thousand Euros, and very many idiots kept coming to this site to ask us the question in the competition - as if we (a) knew (b) cared (c) would be happy to tell them the answer in order for them to win the money instead of us. Those of us who are reasonable and normal got into the habit of giving large numbers of surreal answers to the idiots who kept annoying us by asking the same question about the same competition.
I have had the best idea in the whole wide world*!!!!
Why don't we see how many posts this Q can get and also make it informative at the same time. If everyone was to post their age (or a rough estimate if your not keen on that) then we can get lots of posts and also work out the average age of the Aber (I'm at work and have lots of spare time to think about useless information, sorry).
*this may be a slight over exaggeration.
