Left handed, right footed.

However, when playing squash, tennis etc I remain left handed but when playing  golf I play right handed!  When playing cricket I bowl left handed but bat right handed!

You wear watches on the left hand so that you use the right hand to wind it (the winder being on the right)

I am left-handed, but use my cutlery the right-handed way, also ordinary scissors with the right - this is training, not an oddity. I do have trouble with some knives though, and light-bulbs - have to try and use the right hand for these due to the angles/pressure needed and am not always successful.

Many years ago the official statistics were 1 in 10 being lefties, but I think it's more than that now that being left handed is allowed at schools etc. My class aged 12 had 7 out of 30 left-handers!

Don't know about feet, never been able to hit a ball with either of them, haha.

I'm amphibious, lol
Right handed and have always worn my watch on my right hand
Right handed (right foot, watch on left)  but yesterday I trapped my index finger & have got a blood blister, burnt it on a pan & banged my knuckles really hard!! So I wish I was ambidextrous!!

right handed, right footed, watch on left, wallet in left back pocket, money in left front pocket, keys in right front pocket, phone in left hand to leave right available to write.
Right handed, but in school used to wish to be left handed, so that I'm not one of the boring majority!

Hi smudge. I was always told that being right handed your watch goes on the left hand so that you don't have to stop what you're doing with the right hand to check the time.

Ps. Right handed with two left feet one of which sometimes finds way into mouth.

Pps. I'm intrigued that ezafp is r-handed but has wallet in back left.

Once upon a time, if you were left handed you were considered as having 'special needs'. It was seen almost as a disability. Thank god times have changed, half the population would be raving loonies! OH.

Same as zipadeedodah!

Hi All - I was out nearly all day yesterday & have just tuned in - can't believe this Q has attracted 29 A's!

I've quickly totted up (prob miscounted) & find there are:

  • 18 Right handers
  • 09 Left handers
  • 02 Ambi's

I've been asked how you know whether your are left/right footed - easy - go out in the garden, place a ball on the grass, walk back, run forward, then see which leg automatically shoots out to kick it!

I always wore my watch on my left hand, but it was a bit fiddly to do up, also a nuisance when leaning on my desk writing - so I no longer wear one. If there isn't a clock to hand, I use my mobile phone for time instead

Purses & PC Keyboards, have to be just two of the most biased items made! As mentioned, when lefties open purses, the wallet part is always upside down! When using a keyboard, the number pad is invariably on the right! It's taken me 20 years to master the latter! I've always automatically used the mouse with my right hand though - strange eh?

So come on you lefties, out in the garden with your balls! LOL!

I heard it is one in three peeps are now left handed so we are slowly coming back lol

Ambidextrous.

Originally left handed until I lost my left index finger in an accident when I was two years old.

Ouch landie - It's amazing how you can adapt, when there's no other alternative.
True, but I used to do a brilliant Dave Allen impersonation.

LOL silly moo - I know what you mean!

If you scroll back up, you'll see on one of my posts how to test if you're left/right footed - have fun trying!

landie - whenever we saw Dave Allen we always thought of my father-in-law too.

When he was a young lad, he lost his middle finger down to the second joint, on his right hand. He told my husband that he was helping his Mother with the washing, when he got his hand caught in the mangle. He squealed with pain, but she thought he was playing & carried on turning the wheel. When she realised he wasn't, he was rushed to hospital to have the crushed finger removed. She never forgave herself for the accident.
