Where to find Piano sheet music songbooks/Backing tracks
22 Answers
A friend of mine who's pretty decent on the piano has a birthday soon. She likes popular West End musical type music - Andrew Lloyd Webber, Mamma Mia, We will Rock for example, just to give you to give you an idea... and I was hoping to find her a book of piano sheet music. I also know that you can sometimes purchase a backing track cd, so that the pianist can play along with the orchestra backing. I found one online but wonder if anyone can recommend any sites that I could check out? She likes Rod Stewart and I've found a couple of his American songbooks for sale with piano notation. Any ideas really, thank you.

For some reason only the first two messages were forwarded to me by the Answerbank. Musicroom was the place we found as well, Amazon are always a good standby. Thanks for your help Marval, but this site is for classical buffs, my friend doesn't 'do' classical sadly. I think we'll buy a Rod Stewart book from Amazon and another 'songs from the shows' book from musicroom. Happy Days to you all and thanks again.

The reason I saw the follow up posts is because they were there when I went back to the site using the link from the first post. I've had this happen before. One thing I have noticed with this site is, that so many people are very, very helpful. And I try to help other people as much as they've helped me. So I'm a giver as well as a taker. But some folks are very confrontational, posting negative comments for no particular reason. Surely we have enough to worry about in these troubling times without taking pops at posters. Thank you for all of the helpful advice given. Much appreciated. I hope I may be able to help you sometime in the future.
