imagine the fixture list for the first team. They would play 19 matches. Same with the second team and so on.
There are 20 teams each playing 19 matches. 20x 19= 360

Noggin, you have counted each game twice, home and away, so must halve your total 760/2 = 380. SandyRoe was correct (after a false start!). People seem to making heavy weather of this.

Agree with Sandy on this one. Don't forget that one team's home match is another team's away match so do not double the numbers. I think 380 is correct.

If there are 20 teams and they play each other twice each time will play 38 games. If there are 20 teams why is it not 20x38?

I'm now persuaded it's 380....................

If there are 38 fixtures per team that needs 38 weekends to play and there would be 10 teams playing each week so it is 380.
