A friend and I was chatting and she told me that her husband stands up to wipe himself when he's done a number two. I'd never heard of this before and was wondering if anyone else does this?

Is it only a male thing ? And why do you do it?

nope i lean over to about 30� angle and wipe.  Question B is back to front wipe or front to back?????

My boyf does that as well. I sit down but talking to people at work they both stand as well!! (and one of them is female!)

Well as a woman I lean forward to and for me it's front to back wipe as we wouldn't want any of the mess going to the more delicate area.

I have to agree with majority i also stand! and didn't realise there were people out there that sit! how do you get you hand between the tilet seat and your bottom

Stand and wipe after a number two?! How do you get the paper between your cheeks to wipe effectively? Sitting down, right hand behind, wiping back to front is the only way. I was told by a female friend once (don't remember why!) that young girls are taught to wipe from front to back to avoid possible infection? Too much information, maybe, but it astounds me some people stand to wipe!

Maybe he has a bad back - it can be very difficult to sit 'n'wipe in that case - standing is easier.. I will keep my toilet habits a secret.
