Any Insomniacs?
9 Answers
I've been to bed went about midnight, I was tired too but sleep won't come. I have to sit propped up at the mo until my wound has healed 6 - 8 weeks, but this has been no problem, tonight tho I just can't sleep.
Thought I'd come on here to see if there's any insomniacs but it seems you are all slumbering away. Sleep tight.

I've been an insomniac for years now. I never go to bed before 5am and usually after 6am. I'm usually up by about 9am or 10. I then get a good long sleep of about 12-14 hours every fortnight or so, then that's it for another two or three weeks.
I used to get frustrated going to bed and trying to sleep. However, I eventually learned to fill in the early hours instead. I spend a lot of time on my photographs, I read, I play darts, I have a large collection of DVDs, I go for a 6-mile walk in the early hours every night and for long drives through the hills or along the motorways in the car. I also use the early hours to do things like wash the car, decorate etc - anything that doesn't disturb my wife or the neighbours. The only bad times are when we are abroad and I've been reduced to wandering hotel corridors and foreign streets in the middle of the night.
The GP gave me sleeping pills once. I took one - and I could clear my head till 3pm the next day. It was awful, so I wouldn't touch those things Jemisa.
I've also realised that most people spend most of their lives (a third) asleep but I'm blessed with being awake and alert for most of my life. I therefore make the most of it. You'll get all the sleep you need when you're six feet under Jemisa so if you can't sleep find things to fill the time in and enjoy the peace and quiet of the early hours.

I eventually went back to bed at 3am, don't even remember getting into bed. Got up at 9.30am, not exactly bright eyed and bushy tailed. Moped around most of the day, fell asleep on the sofa this aftn.
I hope tonight will be a better night.
This is just a blip I'm hoping, Andy I don't know how you cope but evidently you do, good luck.
