Need help!

Any tips on changing a large lilac button to black? Im going out tonight and just noticed one of the buttons is missing. I looked in my button box and found the perfect size button but its lilac! I really want to wear my fave coat. TIA.

Felt tip is good for a temporary measure

Please don't follow John's kindly-meant tip, as felt marker is less likely to adhere to plastic even when dry and will come off on your fingers, so that you scratch your nose and get permanent pen ink on your face just as you are putting your coat on.
wear a drapey scarf and don't fasten the coat.

You've probably already tried this but is there a spare button inside or is there a hidden button that you swap for the lilac one?Or do you have a similar button you take/borrow from another item?

Thanks all for your suggestions. I wore another coat afterwards as I dont wear black nail polish and could'nt find the black marker pen thingy. I'll have to buy a new set of buttons. china.
