As above, i'd like to brush up on my punches and haven't got much space, the walls and ceiling aren't strong enough to take a ball or bag and i can't make loud noise have looked into these

The tube trainer (Similar to the slam man) needs to be filled with sand or water and vibrates a lot so not ideal for a first floor flat with neighbors under and either side of me.

And this

Would be ideal but saw on youtube that you need at least 6ft space all around it or will risk something getting smashed.

I haven't much time to get to a boxing gym and would prefer to train in my home when time permits it.

Surely there must be something that ticks all boxes?

i box, but i do it at a club so dunno :)
I dont box, even as an Atheist I would never want to hurt another person, I see no point in punching other people.

To keep fit I work hard and walk a lot with my dogs. :)
its a sport, plus i also work out at the gym etc.
and its about self defence, not attack
*Chortlesplutter*, nice try Sith, Boxing is not about self defence!! I dont think that is quite true do you, many martial arts are about self defence, boxing is about attack and knocking out the opposition.

It looks like all roads may eventually point that way sith.
Ratter, there is absolutely nothig with learning to defend yourself or channel anger into the bag and away from real people.
Ratter either you're lying down a very short person or your dog is a giant, Shaggy great dane? Irish wolfhound?
ha, good one, ratter, it overall depend how you do it and use it, and i have never used it outside the ring thank god for that.
and also i do practice taekwondo so i know about the self defence of martial arts.
Jeancluade, its ok, it was a bit tongue in cheek, I have done a bit of boxing myself :)

That is Gilligan, one of my three Irish Wolfhounds.
whoa, three, wish i had a dog :)
I have never used it outside the ring either, I wont thank God, I wouldnt use it outside the ring just because im just a decent person, I think my dogs would act as quite a good defence :-)

Ratter but you will never have your dogs with you at all times, ie. In the bathroom, at places where dogs aren't allowed so those boxing skills may just come in handy one day though i hope you wont ever have to.
With dogs like that, who needs the police!
good one, yeah, i agree jeanclaude, its better to be safe than sorry, i mean who knows when these things can come in handy, however you should always avoid a fight first.

Sith my old man taught me a saying and i'v ealways lived it with it and it has always served me well.

"It's better to have something and not need it, then to need it and not have it"

Thanks for the conversation and i have to go out now, have a nice day.
