on amoxixillin 500mg and doc said nothing about drinking, or anything come to think of it. nothing in packing leaflet thing

I've just finished a course of penicillin and I had a few glasses of wine on it, with no unwanted effects.

As far as I know if you drink the anti- biotics don't work.
