I spent Saturday feeling pretty ropey with chills and being achey. That seems to have mostly past now but I've got one of those sore throats that really hurts when I swallow.

Any remedies I can take to make it bugger off? (can't bare lemsip type drinks, even with tons of sugar, etc)

Thanks, will grab some Co-cod tomorrow with a bit of squash.

Can't really do honey and lemon, they make me want to vom. lol. Might give the mouthwash a go though.
SOluble aspirin, dissolved in warm water. Gargle then swallow. It is a local anaesthetic and should help.
OR

Warm water with salt dissolved. Gargle and spit out.
Should help if you can gargle.
We were always made to gargle with TCP or salt. I haven't a clue if it works!!
I`d just stick to ibuprofen. It will help with the pain and the inflammation.
