im thinking of something
4 Answers
i would love to have my own gym in my garden. My garden is very very long, and i thought to make some use of the space i would like to have a summer house/log cabin or an out building, which i can kit out with lights, flat screen tv, gym equipment and music......this sounds good. Once i can figure out how much the cost would be? and if i can do this cheaper i.e cheaper lighting/tv/equipment ebay etc. i would really love to do this, i don't have the confidence to go to a gym, and to be honest, after work i just don't manage my time enough to g oto the gym. at least at my home, i can pop into the garden for an hour every evening. is this a good idea? has anyone done this? what does it entail?

If you really wanted to go to a gym, you would find the time because that would be your priority. My friends husband retired from the NHS and spent his pension money on kitting out the outbuilding they had with wonderful fitness equipment. They had a treadmill, a step machine, spinner bikes and everything else he could think of. Five years down the line, he never uses any of it. You don`t have to spend out at all to keep fit. Walking costs nothing. Swimming, cycling, yoga etc costs nothing (or next to nothing)
I think it's a great idea, I have a gym at home and use it every day, wheras tbh I just wouldn't bother to be ar5ed going to a gym in town. You could buy a cheap summerhouse via ebay, lighting and telly etc would be very cheap, secondhand gym equipment likewise, so if you make it a spring project not only will you have something you can use everyday, but you'll likely get fitter during the construction process and raise your energy levels by having something nice to look forward to:)
