i have a problem with excess discharge, its happening constantly and affecting my relationship now, from my part as well as his. I now have built the courage to get treatment, but before i see my male GP i want to know, is there treatment for this? there is no infection whatsoever, and no other issues. Just excess discharge, very wet all day, and worse during you know what...cannot feel anything at all. Im very depressed about this now.

Rozia, it really depends what is causing it. We won't know - your GP may take swabs and send them for diagnosis. We can advise re treatment without knowing what the cause may be.

they did swabs etc at the GUM clinic and nothing was found, maybe i should get a gynae appointment, maybe surgery or something.
Ask the GP to refer you, then - it may be that for whatever reason, you make a lot of fluid. I am sure you can't be the only one, it's probably more common than you think. Sure it's not bladder?
Question Author
went to incontinence clinic also thinking it was my bladder, but apart from a small prolapse, there is nothing to indicate its my bladder. Im just so annoyed about it, and it wont go away.
Definitely GP then - you need a referral, perhaps to a women's health expert, so this can be investigated for you.
Im not sure how old you are Rozia but it may be worth asking your doc to check your hormone levels.
has he got a female partner you could ask to see instead if you feel uncomfortable about this?
do keep going back and annoying dr's until you find someone who will sort it. contact any specialists you may be 'under' currently, if not your gp tomorrow. insist on an urgent referral/appointment as it may be indicative of an underlying problem which no-one has yet detected (but try not to worry - concentrate on getting an answer at the moment). it is not acceptable to be bandied around several departments with an 'i don't know' and shoved off their books. i had to throw a complete tantrum in a pain clinic for help over and above paracetamol when i was virtually crippled with pain for 8 months and nobody did anything to help. ok, they still don't know what's wrong with me, but i am now seeing my gp regularly and rheumatology as well. i will get to the bottom of my own mess and you also need to take control of yours. be strong and push for your basic right of prompt, appropriate and 'joined-up' health care and treatment asap. make sure that the dr's know how this is affecting you mentally as well as physically as this is also important and you don't want to leave this rumbling on and having complications creep in (such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues - and it does sound like things are a serious problem for you already. get fighting and good luck to you. let us know how things are going and perhaps we can offer more advice and support. you can also contact your local health provider's complaints body to support you in accessing treatment too and more help. good luck sweetie x
Some women do indeed produce more mucous than other women and it comes from the glands around the cervix.
Also. a cervical erosion may produce these symptoms.
A gynaecologist will give an opinion, but it can be difficult to treat.

thanks everyone, and lcg76 thanks also for your kind words, and thanks sqad, for taking the time to give me your professional opinion. It has gone on for long enough, wasn't happening before and now has been happening for a year, really messed up things in the bedroom dept, and getting very depressing.
