Persistant earache and infection-FAO Sqad
19 Answers
Sqad, not sure if you remember but for a while towards the end of last year i was having problems with one ear infection after the other. Went to docs on numerous occasions and was given a vast array of sprays, drops and antibiotics which all worked for a short time. I woke up this morning with really bad pain in my left ear again.Could this be something more sinister or am I worrying with no good reason ? TIA Jasmin.

If the earache is associated with a normal ear examination, then something more sinister could be contemplated.........but this is not the situation with your good self.
Your GP will certainly have a look and certainly, without discharge from your ear, nothing sinister comes to mind.

Ear infections, in my experience, can keep recurring - I had a really bad run of them when I was young, just one after another but they eventually cleared up, probably just finding the right meds to shift it properly (though one turned me really pink, remember getting dragged across town to an emergency doctors appointment with people going on about scarlet fever, was a reaction to the antibiotics!). Hope it clears for you soon!
