Had my upper eyelids done yesterday by Dr Sood (130 Harley street) and already I am delighted with the results. Just had local anaesthetic with no sedation so chatted through the whole procedure. Dr Sood, or Mr Sood as the receptionists address him, is a complete gentleman who put me at ease from the word go. I too took advantage of the groupon deal and I'm so glad...

I am having lower eye bag removal...will post how my consultation goes...still anxious about local anaesthetic...not so much that I would feel anything but I would SEE everything going on :( That said I want to be rid of feeling like this so it should be worth it....you should post pictures of before and after somewhere for people to view.

Hi Bagapoo, my daughter had her upper eyes done a week tomorrow, she's not worrying so much now seeing how well yours look. You say that they put a small stitch in to close your eyes while operating but they did not do that for my daughter, she said the worst part was having to keep her eyes open the whole time with the strong light glaring down, she's having the stitches out tomorrow, thank you for sharing your experience.

Hello

thanks for this....I am still anxious about the procedure....I guess partly because I have to go alone for the operation.....as you say, I really want it done, has been a troublesome area ever since I can remember...I think I will post pictures once done....want it over with...

Hi
No, she didn't have it with Dr Sood, it was a lady Dr and she was recommended by a friend who had it done and she was very pleased.

Try not too worry JEC 4508, I know it's easy for me to say, considering I was going to have it done with Groupon and bottled out, still got my baggy eyes but you ladies have given me new determination to get them done.

Sorry bagapoo, forgot to answer your question, I got it wrong, she was given an injection to relax her eyes but as the skin was lifted for the precedure she had the glare of the lights, better to have the stitch.
Hello

Any idea why the answers have been removed from Bagapoo? They were posted on here to responses relating to this thread and have now been removed....
I think Bagapoos answers were removed as she posted links to photos of her upper eyelid surgery and mentioned things which may have been construed as advertising. As someone who will be having the same procedure done soon by the same Mr Sood I find it frustrating that she will be unable to answer my questions. After all, isn't that the whole point of this site!!
That is a bit disappointing surely the photos could have just been removed.

I am going for my consultation next Friday. Is this not for sharing information and the experiences? When is your surgery? I will be really keen to hear how you get on....will you post?
It is my consultation this Friday at 1 p.m......and I am getting very nervous. I hope it goes well. I will post on Friday evening how it went.

Good luck for tomorrow JEC 4508, look forward to hearing from you.
Hello

I had my consultation.

It went very well.

Mr Sood is a real gent as other posts have said.

His consultation room is untidy and lived in shall we say but I felt very comfortable and relaxed and he talked me through the procedure that will take place.

While I was there a lady who had already had the procedure arrived and he asked her if she would mind me meeting her, so that was nice to see someone who had alreay been through it.

I am still anxious about being awake during the procedure but I really hate the way I look so I think I can cope with it....I just want it here and over with.

My appointment is taking place in May. I will keep a look out on here for further updates from others and then when I finally have mine post an update then.

Hi JEC4589, been looking out for you to see how you got on Friday, glad it went well, go for it.
I had been toying with the idea of blepharoplasty for a year or two and was considering going abroad to make it financially viable for me when I happened across the Groupon voucher offering the same! Like most people, I was initially dubious, with that old adage 'if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is' ringing in my ears, but my desire to improve my image over-rode any anxiety or trepidation I felt about the company or the consultant figuring if it was a 'scam', then it would have been extremely easy to report being there was a name, address, etc. on the internet.

Anyway, I had my initial consultant with Mr S C Sood, in his premises on Harley Street, where he has been established for thirty years. He was absolutely charming, rather unassuming, gentlemanly, very informative and explained exactly what the procedure involved, including recovery time, answered any questions and uncertainties I had in a very unhurried manner (not like going to a regular GP). He made me feel completely at ease.

We arranged a date for my procedure to be carried out, which was upper and lower blepharoplasty done a fortnight later on Monday March 19th.

Of course I was nervous about the procedure, which was carried out under local anaesthetic by Mr Sood and the operating team - but it was very relaxed... chatted the whole way through and bantered with his team. I went on my own and after the procedure you lie down with compresses on, you are given a cup of tea and biscuits and you leave when you are ready to leave. Of course, its not a pretty sight initiallly but its amazing how quickly the bruising and redness dies down. On the following Tuesday I went back to have the stitches out.

The results of the surgery are fantastic - very natural-looking. I was able to go back to work a week later, looking refreshed without people doing double-takes guessing I'd undergone surgery but saying how well I was looking. I saw Mr Sood again last Friday as he wanted to check everything was proceeding as it should and although I'm more than impressed with the result at the moment, I understand when everything has settled in place in three months' time, the effect will be even more noticeable.

Sorry this is all long-winded, but I wanted to reassure anybody else who has any doubts at all that you will not regret it at all...if anybody has any questions, please post for me and I'd be very happy to answer them.
Hi,

I found the groupon offer online for this particular doctor, after telephoning him - he undoubtadely sounded extremely understanding to carefully answer any concerns I initially had. However, it is apparent that Dr Sood is extremely busy and was in a hurry to book an appointment for a consultation and get off the phone.

Could anybody tell me if they have paid for a consultation with him? If so - how much?
Also, has anybody had rhinoplasty or their nasal tip done by Dr S C Sood?
Please do post any information that you have!

Kind regards,
Tan
Hi,

I like the majority of you am looking for further information on Dr S C Sood. I came across a nasal tip surgery offer on Groupon and was wondering if anybody had this procedure done with Dr Sood?

Those of you who have been for a consultation, could you kindly tell me whether or not you were charged for this and if so, how much?
I am woried about the surgery going wrong as I'm sure most people are initially.

I definitely do not want a nasal tip which points up, could anyone give me advice or rhinoplasty or nasal tip surgery they have had with this surgeon please?

Also, during the consultation, does Dr Sood use the computer imaging software to show how you look before and after?

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,
Talia
I had upper and lower eyelids done in November by Mr Sood on a Groupon. I was very wary but when I met Mr Sood, all my worries melted away. He was very kind, answered all my questions and reassured me. The surgery took place at the theatre at Queen St (I think) attended by several assistants, under local anaethetic. Again I was worried about this but they all put me at my ease and relaxed me.

It wasn't painful afterwards and a week later everything was looking better, bruised but I could see the results. I was very worried about having the stitches out because everything had tightened up and there were blood clots around the stitches and I thought they would pull but Mr Sood reassured me it wouldn't hurt... and it didn't. His surgery is 'rather lived in ' as someone else put it, but he's kind and he did my operation skillfully and I'm very happy with it.

I'm very, very happy with the results.
