Good evening all!
Just to let you know I was back at the hospital today! I had hoped following the call from them the other week all was good but....alas not! I'm going to have to have a hysterectomy as they found some stray cells lurking around. Because my colcoscopy was pretty drastic they think it's best to just whip out the whole lot.
Strange isn't it....the consultant said ' I assume your family is complete' and I answered yes but at that moment in time I wanted nothing more than to hold a baby of my own on my arms. I'm so very lucky to have my kids.

Aww lisa....good luck with it all....since your diagnosis youve been very brave on here, you never moap and always upbeat!

Your an inspiration......xxx love tinks <3
oh Lisa, that's a shame. But it does sound as if they're on top of it, testing you appropriately and responding promptly. Much better than diagnosing you with a sore stomach and prescribing aspirin.

Best of luck with it.

Lisa, am sorry to hear that the news was not as you hoped, however this is the very best way of removing the cells. I can equally understand your emotions too, take good care and keep us updated.

Lots of Love ♥
Wishing you all the best. X

Good luck, my thoughts are with you xx
Best of luck Lisa
Sorry to hear it Divegirl... but I had an early hysterectomy without having children and while it was difficult to deal with it is a small price to pay for a normal lifespan. The recovery time is much less than it was and when you look back at it 20 years from now you will be very glad you did it
You are in the best hands and keyhole surgery is marvellous. Good luck!
Really hope it all goes well for you hun. Take care. X
You've been so brave Lisa, keep it up xxxx
Lots of luck Lisa. Thinking of you. Rotten about no more babies but great that you will be able to love and watch grow those you already have.

Hey guys..thank you for all of your kind words...

I'm mostly feeling positive though I did just cry excessively at One Born Every Minute lol. I just want it over with now, after all I have to be fit for Thailand in June!

Just keep thinking of that beach with the golden sand and the deep blue sea... chin up and all that sort of terribly british stiff upper lip type thing, you're doing well and coping admirably. :c)
You will be, divegirl - the keyhole procedure has hugely benefitted the recuperation time......just hope the family pitch in as you will have to be careful with anything strenuous in the weeks to come.

Good excuse for flying Business Class!
Not nice news at all for you, but focus on the positive. You'll be there for your children growing up, and you have a lovely trip to Thailand waiting for you when it's all over and done with. Keep your chin up and if you're feeling low, there'll always be someone here cheer and support you.
