Right, it says on some glacé cherries that the is something like Kcal 315 per 100g, is that 3150 calories per 100g? Sorry for being so dim.

I think it's 315 calories per 100g....well that's how I have always read it!

It`s 315cals. Kilo cals are used in food grading because cals are too small as to be quantifiable.

I'd be rubbish on a calorie controlled diet! Strangely, nicking glacé cherries that you have bought, out of your own cupboard is nowhere as near as satisfying as nicking them out of your mam's cupboard.

But Glacé Cherries are in saturated sugar syrup, that is why the calorie count is high.
