Nibble Update

Safely back from checkup at hospital, and having all staples removed from operation site (25 in a nice line, good stitching), feels really good not to have the "cricket bat" splint contoured onto the back of my knee, (but feels slightly weird after 16 days entombed within it's clammy embrace), lifting knee without support felt really strange - not having had to self support my knee with muscle power only. Had to have help for the 1st lift of leg.
Now, in flexible splint, currently set @ 0-30 degrees for next two weeks, then gets adjusted as the flexibility of my knee allows.
Many thanks to all my fellow AB'ers for their best wishes and support in teh last few weeks, I promise to keep the updates coming as I know more.
I'll post the photo later (not a yukky one, promise) :-)

But the nurse will be very good to put you at ease before they start, and if you feel any pain at all then ask them to stop for a while.
I hope this isn't too alarming for you, vodka, but I felt that you should be aware of the procedure.
I'll have everything crossed for you for next Thursday. :-))
