alcohol / bladder
weird Q but...
does alcohol stimulate the bladder ? Whenever i go out for a drink once i've made the first trip to the loo i literally have to keep going every 5/10 mins. went out last night for a couple of hours and must have gone at least 8 times. It drives me mad and i'm sure my friends think i have a cronic coke habbit. It doesn't matter what i drink, beer, wine, spirits, the same thing happens. I drink gallons of tea and coffee all day and don't have this problem.

You pee more, as your body recognises alcohol as a poison/toxin, and attempts to remove it.
Alcohol is 200% diuretic, you pee twice as much as you drink. I think that's right, somebody will probably correct me I'm sure, but that's what I remember from school.
As a side note, I find that I can not pee for ages and drink a fair amount, then once I have been to wee I can't stop and keep going literally every five mins.
As Natalie said, alcohol is a diuretic which causes you to pass water more than usual.
You don't pass water more because alcohol is poison. The liver breaks it down and passes it as and when it needs to.
The reason you wee more is that alcohol reduces the secretion of ADH which, in turn, makes the kidneys produce large amounts of diluted urine (hence not much colouring). Have a look here for more info :
