You have missed the important investigation out.....your Hb level.

However, the results above are not "off the chart" but would indicate a mild iron deficiency anaemia which may well be caused by your heavy periods.
you can have treatment for heavy periods, its a simple procedure and is treated as a day case in hospital, which in many cases will almost stop periods completely. im guessing you are seeing your GP about this, ask about treatment, good luck (cant remem name of the procedure but im sure you will find it if you google it)
It's called uterine ablasion, had it done 18 months ago, best thing ever. If you want children though, you can't have it done.
Is this question on behalf of someone else?

LOL....I noticed also that the OP was male and also his/her answers have been on the treatment of heavy periods which he/she had never asked about in the OP.
I would imagine that as josgeo is registered as male the question would be about someone else.

W Ron.
The OP only says they're male - you can put anything you like in that box when you register....
I was green and nice last week. Not so green now but still don`t know what`s going on!
I know box. But find myself a bit more cautious now, sadly.
Please tell me that it's not only me who has no idea what any of the OP's abbreviations means?
You're not alone BOO and I'm female.
lol, ta Pizza, all a bit technical for me like!
Given that the OP is listed as male, I would suggest a visit to the Doc. asap.

welcome to AB.
I read it and thought it all sounded like postal areas. :o/
BOO/mrs chappie.

sqad's easy guide to blood test:

ESR....how are you feeling? ill or feeling better?
PCV....how many red cells have you got knocking around?
MCV.....how big are those red cells
MCH....how much hemoglobin do they contain.
RDW....are they all the same size or what?

There you are ....now you know.....and with that information all types of anaemias can be diagnosed..........or suspected.
squad, what about a sex-test, would he pass?
;o)
Baldric.......LOL....that has been commented on in the replies above.....;-)
