Is it really as head- explodingly-painful as some people say? Also, how long does it last and roughly how much is it (Euros)?

Price varies city to city.  It's not as bad as all that.  It lasts different amounts for different people.  If you do go - wear a long skirt to the appointment, cos you won't wanna be putting underwear or trousers on for a few hours.  And, as they will advise you, don't have a hot bath or sunbed treatment for 24 hours afterwards.  Oh- and before hand, buy some after-sun.  It's REALLY not that painful though.  My personal opinion is that it's not worth the money if you want to be smooth to the touch every day, but if you just want to look hairless for a holiday, then it's probably worth it.

I take the attitude of "no pain, no gain".

Have only had it done once and yes, it did hurt, but not as much as ill-advisedly trying to do it myself !!

In North Herts, it cost me an extra 25 for that area.

How long it lasts is down to individual regrowth speed. Some lucky people can apparently go for 6 weeks but infuriatingly, if I get waxed, it starts to grow back after 3.

Generally hair re-growth is 2-3 weeks but full regrowth is 6 weeks. It is slightly painful there is no use saying it is not and do not have it done on your period as it will be even more sensitive.

Try having a asprin an hour before you go, this will take the pain  away a little but not completly. When you are having it done make sure you help the therapist stretch the skin as this will prevent bruising and can be fiddly in this area.

Not sure how much it would be where you are but expect to pay in 's around 15 to 30 depending on where you go.

Do not use any perfumed products on the area for 24 hours. do not expose it to sunlight for 24 hours, do not sit in a hot bath or shower for 24 hours and avoid tight clothing for a day or so, avoid touching the area for 24 hours. Good luck Fran666.......
