To treat or not to treat: Symptomless Thrush

After some up and down results from wee tests (on and off blood/protein/white cells/leukocytes etc...) which appear to appear, disappear then reappear again, my GP had another wee test and some vaginal swabs done last week.

Got the results today and one of the swabs showed a yeast overgrowth. I have no symptoms of thrush (no discharge, itching, soreness round there etc...) so GP said it was up to me whether I treat it or not. Am wondering if it's from having had so many rounds of antibiotics with having numerous infections

I checked out the stuff in Superdrug and it's quite pricey! Debating whether it's worth treating as no symptoms or to treat to be on the safe side and, if so, what is best to buy. Cream seems pointless if it's for itching/soreness and such as don't have that. Maybe just the tablet you can get or are pessaries best or a mixture? Any suggestions of what works welcome.

For a sqad update - wee test came back with no infection (never does show infection at lab though) and she said they didn't do a dip test for some reason so got to go in and see usual GP (mine's away) as she wasn't sure what best to do and I'm still getting UTI like symptoms.

Jenna.....knowing you with your medical history, if anything CAN go wrong it WILL go wrong.

Ask your GP about the tablets of Fluconazole.

I'd buy the over the counter own brand tablet and forget about it personally.
