We has read somewhere, that bio yoghurt can be used to get rid of vaginal thrush. Is that true? Has anyone else used it, and more importantly, how and where do we apply it, as we have bought some to have a try. Replies would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it is supposed to work.

They recommend that you eat plenty of 'bio' or 'live' yoghurt. This contains bacteria that competes with the yeast and gives it less room to grow. You can also put 'bio' yoghurt on your vulva or in your vagina (dip a tampon into the yoghurt). This is soothing and often helps.

Apply direct just like a cream.
Could get messy though.
Well put it this way, you don't eat it.  It can be used to ease the symptoms but I don't think it'll cure it - I would suggest seeing your local pharmacist
May I suggest also not going comando.
your local pharmacist will tell you that natural yoghurt WILL infact clear up your thrush.  Just apply as a cream, but beware the potential odour on a hot day!
You are supposed to put the yoghurt on a tampson and wear it.
Yep, put a tampon in some live youghurt & insert. Also, you can put some on a sanitary towel & wear that. I would only do this when at home though!
actually a tampon would be nicer (lol) and yes I've used it.
i didnt think you were supposed to wear a tampon if your werent on
You are supposed to limit the use of tampons to avoid acute infections.
( too late for me to remember the exact name of infection - sorry)
Just make sure it is real LIVE yoghurt. There are no regulations on what properties a yoghurt has to have to be called 'bio' so you probably want to avoid that.
