why have i been banned

ive set up a new account now.i dont no if i was banned or not its just about ten days ago when i opened the tab it diddnt auto sign me in.i tried to sign in to only be given a "oops there seems to be a problem with the account" in a yellow banner. tried contact them and have after ten days received a reply if you can call it that it was more like a pre-written thing they send to all abers regarding rules.after reading it i thought that i had been banned for seven days,so i tried to log on again and got the same oops banner.

this account i have just set up is on the same ip address.

my old account was active since 2007.

I find it hard to believe that anyone would get banned just for using a swear word, I'd suspect the context it was used in got you banned.

(I'm speculating, I don't know for sure)

It does sound more like a technical glitch than a ban - hopefully the Ed. will see this and advise.

I agree with chuck - there's more to this cussing than first meets the eye, i.e, context.....the swear word machine will kick in and change it to Sugar or Yabba or something.....

the word was began with an f but i used two stars four the middle two letters and it was in response to what i thought had been a nastier previous post.

ronnie- can't imagine you'll get a reply here from Ed why oyu were banned ot be honest, your best bet would be to email him (contact us- bottom of page), though I genuinely can't see him telling you why that way either.

Just chalk it up as a "what the...?" moment and move on- this is a nice name ,try to keep this one ;-)
