I'll be in London for the weekend (til Tuesday) house sitting but I'm totally skint so won't be up for doing much. Though I will enjoy having some space to myself.

What thrilling plans does everyone else have this weekend?

Taking it easy this weekend, but EB there is loads you can do in London if you have a travel card.
I'm going to be at the Beamish Open-Air Museum, just south of Gateshead, taking part in an exhibition of Meccano models in one of their permanent buildings. There are to be quite a few other enthusiasts there from the North-Eastern Meccano Society, so there will be a great variety of models to look at - and even some for youngsters to play with!

Everybody is welcome, of course, and especially those with a nostalgia for some of Britain's past.
Not much. Hope to see the new man at some point. Promised id make soup and bake for him xx

Well I think there's a few quid on my Oyster card FG so I might hop to Embankment and wonder round but it depends on the weather. For some reason it's always peeing it down when I decide to head out in London and I end up soggy and miserable. lol
what about the tate or the natural history there are loads of indoor freebies
I haven't been to London in ages...I feel a nag coming on :-)

You know, every time I'm in London I tell myself I'm going to go to the Tate and never have yet. Maybe this weekend is the weekend.
