Neighbour's son was playing his music last night, very loudly. Too much bass.
Popped round to ask for the bass to be turned down, not the music. Even the teens in my home were complaining. I just feel rotten at having done that.
Yes, the bass was turned down but I still feel awful. (Mother is away for a couple more weeks and the father is there, they are a nice family which probably explains why I feel awful)

dont feel awful, they should be mindful of others in the first place.
What sort of music was he playing alba?
what time was it?

don't feel bad, even if it was early that bass can go right through you.
I had a similar problem with my neighbour about 12 years ago Alba. My problem lasted 18 months until the council took her to court and she was prosecuted for noise nuisance.
Good job you don.t live next to me lol

thanks cazz. When it's birthdays or other celebratory days it's never as loud as last nights was. (oh, dreadful use of English language)
They are a nice family and you obviously get on well together. The lad turned the bass down without any problem. Dad didn't seem to object and Mum will probably concur when she returns. If you feel rotten about it get the lad a small present to thank him for being so understanding.
Why should you feel rotten? Youngsters need to learn to be considerate of their neighbours. I would have done the same.

it was just after 10pm. Have no idea what music as the bass covered it up !!!

Will apologise for being a twit later on. We are in the middle of 'staggered'housing block. The boy's bedroom at the rear of theirs is against my hall wall.
Alba, why should you apologise? Absolutely not, in my book.
10pm is not on, unless it is a one off .

Boxy, I hear you and understand. x

It's been like this for the past week, the younger alba is up at 5.15am for work (not at weekends tho)
Next time you see the lad just say "thanks for turning that bass down the other night, I didn't like to complain but it was a little too loud". He will remember next time then that the sound travels and will respect you for showing him respect.
That's a good idea, daffy

I like that idea.

Dad shouted up the stairs to him (a few times in order to be heard lol) and he turned it down there and then. I thanked the dad so I think thanking the son should also be in order.
Daffys suggestion is good. Teens like to be acknowledged. He will probably be chuffed that you took the time to thank him and say no problem.
