Why do you want to get your belly button pierced in the first place ?

I am sorry, but I do not understand this fascination with having bits of ones body perforated (apart from pleasure areas). Perhaps someone could explain to me ?

I would have thought just the opposite, BillyNoMates - earrings can at least look nice, but if your pleasure areas work ok as is, why stick pieces of tin in them?

er, sorry Selina, can't help you there

You can get pregnancy retainers for when pregnant, but why would you want to get pregnant? I am sorry but I do not unedrestand this fascination with having kids, perhaps someone could explain to me

Here are some links to advise on piercings and pregnancy. (from someone who is VERY pierced)

i had mine done in 98. i just turned 18 and it the first adult thing i did! i wore it for two months then had my dad take it out. it wasn't as cool as i thought. anywaythree years later i got pregnant and that was the only place i got a streach mark. from the hole it was about 1/2 inch long. i still have the hole, it never closed up. but now i look at my belly button and all i see is a hole and a streach mark. i hate it. i wish i never did it. i ruined my button! so think hard about doing this. you might not like it when your pregnant.
I had mine done 10 years ago and still really like it - I think whether you can wear it to the end of pregnancy depends on what shape you end up although I know a friend who kept hers in all the way through with no probs whatsoever - you may need to put a longer bar in just in case, but as long as there's enough room for your tummy to stretch I can't see that there would be a problem.
you seem too obsessed about the things that are gonna go wrong and when it will close up, to even consider having it done
Nothing obsessive about considering the consequences of something before you do it. Very rational, in fact.
hi 5elina in answer to your questions i had my belly button pierced for my 30th birthday present from a friend, i loved it but when i became pregnant a year later i was only 4 months pregnant and it became uncomfortable so i took it out. This really only is unscrewing the bar and out it comes, however mine healed really quite, like by the next day maybe even a few hours after and i have heard that this is the case for most people. After having my baby i have stretch marks there and also a brown coloured scar where the entry and exit holes were. However... i would not hesitate in getting it done again, but i chose not to at the moment as still have a wobble belly from my baby, but who knows i may again in the future.hope this helps.

i had my navel pierced for 5 years when i got pregnant i took my bar out when i was about 4 and a half months i really missed it because i loved having it there and i tried to put it back in and i was totally surprised when i managed to get my bar back in so that was about 8 months after i first took it out it went back in i thought it would have healed up long before that.
yup go for it. get it periced. i got mine last year and I love mine! have had no problems!!
