For quite a while now I have woken up every morning feeling like I have a cold.
I'm not sneezing and I don't have a runny nose but I sometimes feel wheezy.
My doctor gave me a turbohaler to use twice a day but it hasn't made a difference up to now.
I tend to think it's my sinuses and before I had the turbohaler I was using Sinex spray but that didn't make any difference either.
Is there something else that might help that I can buy over the counter?
Doc says I don't have asthma but felt the inhaler would help with the wheezing.
I just feel achy and tired like you do when you have a cold but because I've had sinus problems before i.e infected sinuses I always think it must be that.
I know you are not showing any of the obvious signs of allergy but try taking a long lasting hayfever tablet before you go to sleep... might help can't hurt... and if you haven't already get some anti allergy covers for your pillows
Still go back to GP though... my asthma is a bit like that and dust mite makes it worse
Thanks rowanwitch. As you say I'm not showing any of the usual signs of allergy i.e runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and although I said I wake up like this every day, what I didn't say was it stays with me for most of the day.
I just keep hoping that when I wake up in the morning it's disappeared.
Think I might just have a word with the pharmacist as I really don't want to go back to the doc's unless it gets worse.
If your sinuses are troubling you, have you tried sterimar? It is a filtered sea water spray that soothes the sinus tissue and flushes out anything nasty. Its not cheap, but i find it very good indeed for my sinus problems. If you are wheezy, though it sounds like your chest rather than your sinuses. Are you sure that you are using the inhaler correctly?
Thanks woofgang, where do you buy it from?
Don't know if I am using the inhaler properley but am using it as was shown to me by the doc.
Am going out now but will check if you got back to me later.
