Yesterday, I had one of those 'I need some pastry' moments. I went into Greggs, eyed up the cornish pasties, got my money out and then...............turned and walked out. I was really pleased with myself.
Bought an apple from Marks instead.

I went to Greggs today - bought sausage rolls, pie and sandwich - NOT feeling pleased with myself (lol).
Bet it didn't taste as nice though. ;)
I've never eaten anything from Greggs...
me either ummmm don't see why people go over the top about the shop nothing special about their stuff at all!
I had a similar "moment" on Tuesday Tilly. Was hungry early evening in Hammersmith, and meeting friend later to eat out. Walked into a cafe in the bus terminal. Eyed pasties. Resisted. Walked out and waited until meal which was 2 hours later.
Bernie, I'm not a fan of pastry.

Thank goodness, my sister is and she's mahoosive...
bernie - how do you know if you've never eaten anything from there ??!
i;ve eaten so much today i think i'm about to explode!

i ate my lunch by 10, then we had a buffet at work and i'm still picking at that! i have half a round of stilton and bisucits to take home with me and two mahoosive bottles of yahoo!
Well done, Tilly

Greggs do not sell Cornish pasties, believe me. They sell some form of meat pie that resembles a pastie. It isn't made in the County and I bet it isn't even chuck steak.

They are being registered so that we can defend our rights, just like Stilton, Melton Mowbray or Champagne.
Their sausage rolls are second to none !
i love the hot sausage rolls from greggs
Me too unfortunately !
Don't like their scotch pies (mutton pies)or sausage rolls. Theirs cakes are yucky.

Many moons ago I ordered a birthday cake from them for one of my sons. What on earth I was thinking I'll never know.
we have 'jenkins bakery' here and the stiuff is so gorgous i defy anyone to walk out ...

but well done!
The nearest Greggs to my home is around 9 miles away I think.
Bloody hell alba do you feel better now you've got that off your chest !!
chaptazbru who said i haven't been in there i just don't like their stuff m8 each to their own!

Bernie, you said you'd never eaten anything from Greggs.
I don't like their sausage rolls, the meat is bright pink. I bought one once, took one bite and threw it away. I wasn't pleased with myself that day.
I had one of those moments last evening, but it was a desperate craving for a piece of chocolate - there was NONE in the house. So OH and I put on thick jackets, hats and gloves (after all, it is the middle of May) and walked down to the village where the Co-op was still open and bought a big bar of CDM and 4 Wispas. Ohhhh! The Wispas were good! And we've had some CDM this afternoon too. Diet starts on Monday............or Tuesday......

So true jumbo.
I bought a Galaxy bar from a garage while refilling with petrol as special offer at a pound. Had one piece. Now cant find what I have done with the rest.
