Hi Tinks, hope you are well, I went to the docs yesterday and she as put me on propranolol 40mg, three times daily, I took them yesterday and felt sort of spaced out, today I have only taken one and feel a bit better, did thid happen to you when you started on them, I also had bp checked yesterday 110 / 80, do you think this may be the cause? xx

I started a few weeks ago 40mg once a day but i still felt a bit edgey and am now upto two/three a day!!!
Mabye your BP is making you feel a bit woozy yeah- drink enough!!
I havent felt spaced out- just cold sometimes!! I think itss the kind of tablet you can manage yourself and find what works for you? Theyve really helped me!

She told me to start on three a day, but as I said, just taken one today, she has given me them because I just feel so angry all the time, you know, with everything that has been going on, hopefully these will make me calmer and she gave me a months supply at three per day. I am so glad you're feeling better xx
Traci i can totally understand your feelings right now! Youve had a rough ride recently and i really hope that these help!! I felt at ease because theyre not addictive- my doc said the starting point really is 40mg 3x a day- but i was initially given less by another doc- then she said infact, start with one, then two then three depending on how you feel!
I was getting that thumping heart and racing when i get worked up and although a "silly thought" comes - no symptoms come which makes it easier to ignore the thought!! So hopefully when you get worked up and angry- you might think about the bad stuff, but you wont get that thumping heart and adrenalin rush!! I dont bloody miss it!
What about counselling? I now have an appointment- cant wait cos i do sill have a wobble .....habit though!!!!! Xxxx
