Seeing as you sleep as badly as me, if not worse, I think I will now have to be your big sister and keep an eye on you : )

Sooo I generally get to sleep about 2/3 am - am wake at 6 ish. If not working then I will get up for a couple of hours and then try to get another hours sleep. If working then i have to be up at 7 am anyway. Its a real killer!

Don't you get fed up with other people talking about how easily they get off to sleep?! I'm a life long insomniac and can seriously count the number of times I have slept through the night on the fingers of two hands. My OH is in the land of nod when his head touches the pillow, and sleeps very soundly - he didn't wake up in the storm of '87 (?). I find that since I used to do late night/early morning shifts in a previous job, my body clock is muddled in any case. I'm glad that I found AB, it's nice to chat late at night. At any rate it's quite interesting watching the Transit of Venus on the NASA website tonight.
Worst is...i doze for 10min then wake right up...its horrible, then i try to sleep but my mind keeps me up when im so tired!! Then i feel sleepy during the day, try not to sleep so ill sleep at night, but even daytimes im kept awake if i do try. Its definately coupled with my anxiety though for sure xx
I find that I can drop off to sleep quite easily, but then wake up and can't get back to sleep again, and have tried all the usual, like not staying in bed, or reading for a while etc, but then I'll drop off for an hour or two round 4am, but still wake up quite early too, and feel tired for the rest of the day. I try not to sleep during the day but I find that as I get older I often have a cat nap in the afternoon - I just feel my eyelids dropping and I'm out for half an hour or so!
